In early January, Melody Zhang, CHI associate director, made a trip to the southern part of Henan Province China to determine how CHI can help those infected with AIDS. During their trip to the region, Melody delivered over 100 sets of winter clothing to children orphaned by the AIDS epidemic.

Melody would like to deliver 150 more coats by February 9th.

$20 will buy a coat for one orphan 

The outbreak in AIDS in Henan Province started when poor farmers were approached by private individuals to sell their blood and earn some money.   As a result more than 2000 children have become orphans through losing one or both parents or abandonment.
